Our speciality, William James wrote, is killing our own kind:
Man biologically considered, and whatever else he may be into the bargain, is simply the most formidable of all the beasts of prey, and, indeed, the only one that preys systematically on his own species.
To which the Saunterer adds: Man keeps his blood lust up for killing his kind by aiming to kill and wipe out the other species.
