If technology is a cancer on humanity, architects must be ever vigilant. Sir Philip Dowson:
Architecture requires us constantly to reinterpret and revalue technology in human and social terms . . . close-knit, interdisciplinary design teams are necessary to confront the scale and complexity of modern buildings if an architecture is to survive which embodies humane ideas.
