What is craft in relation to art? Pierre Auguste Renoir thought:
Craft is the pillar, the solidity of art. It is something one can only learn by putting one’s hand to paint little by little. It is constant work that occupies you day and night for years and years, and that one never really knows, that escapes you just when you think you have grasped it.
